This Bitter Earth by CloudAtlas, T (Clint Barton/Natasha Romanoff). The previous fic (The Nature of Dust) led me directly to this one. Clint and Natasha at the end of the world, climate change dystopia.

Marriages entered into for the purpose of active operations will be respected by S.H.I.E.L.D. and all other national and international government agencies until such time as Form 42-D/86 is filed at the completion of said operations. So what if Clint never bothered to file form 42-D/86, and never got around to asking Phil if he had filed it?

Bucky prefers to think of himself as enthusiastic. If there’s an occasion coming up, and stores are selling decorations to commemorate it, well, a thorough celebration is only respectful.
